The Super Human Hot-Rodder Abigail makes his way to Street Fighter V on July 25th!

We are happy to announce Abigail, the biggest man in Metro City, as the fourth new character to join Season 2 of Street Fighter V .

Hit the jump to see what he’s been up to since his Final Fight days.

Making his way from Final Fight to Street Fighter V, Abigail was one of the top ranking members of the Mad Gear Gang. His territory is the Bay Area of Metro City, a location he terrorizes with his gargantuan size, and at eight feet tall, he makes the Red Cyclone look like a spinning top. The tires around Abigail’s monstrous biceps make is clear what he’s been up to when he isn’t cracking skulls. This mountain of a man is a complete (mad) gear head that loves to make car noises almost as much as he loves driving them.

One thing that’s troubling Abigail is the whereabouts of his prized monster truck. Be sure to check out his character story as he brawls his way through the mean streets of Metro City in search of it.

V-Skill: Hungabee

Abigail thrusts his sizeable belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.

  V-Trigger: Max Power

After popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armour and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.

Critical Art: Abigail Special

Abigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speedbag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.

As the largest character in the game, you’d expect Abigail to be all about the command grabs. He has two, as it happens, but what makes him stand out is his Nitro Charge run. This special move has one hit of armour (two for EX!) and can be cancelled into four follow-ups – a stiff punch, command grab, cumbersome overhead or V-Skill. Suffice to say, Abigail isn’t a one-trick-pony, he’s a horse-power-house.

Also arriving alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes, as well as his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. Fight on this stage long enough and you might see the iconic sunrise that fans will remember from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.

Don’t forget, the Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail in addition to two brand new fighters to be announced later this year. The pass comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Additionally, Season 2 Character Pass holders will receive an exclusive PS4 theme!

In the next few days, we’ll share more information about Abigail. So keep an eye out on our Facebook and Twitter pages for Street Fighter V .

Ring of Pride and Champions Choice Costume coming to Street Fighter V on July 25th

Earlier this year, we introduced the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour DLC that featured the Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, along with some exclusive Fight Money opportunities and colors. Now, it’s time to reveal the Champions Choice Costume as well as the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage!

First up, we have an exclusive look at the all-new 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage! Continuing the tradition of CPT themed stages, the Kanzuki Family Stadium showcases the high-level competition with a sumo stadium befitting of the Kanzuki name.

As most of you know, Du “NuckleDu” Dang won the Capcom Cup in 2016. Along with him auto-qualifying for Capcom Cup 2017, he also received the incredibly rare opportunity to help create a costume for a character of his choice. His character of choice is the master of flash-kicking, Guile!

Guile is ready for any combat operations with this tactical officer-inspired costume. The all-new costume will be available on July 25 th for PlayStation 4 and Steam for just $5.99 / € 5.99 or included in the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass.

Included in the Premier Pass for $24.99 are the previously released Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, the newly announced Champions Choice Costume, the Kanzuki Family Stadium stage, exclusive CPT- themed colors for all of the characters, two exclusive titles and monthly in-game targets that reward Fight Money! Just as it was last year, the 2017 Premier Pass will be taken off the marketplace around the end of November, so make sure you pick up your favorite content while it is available!

Just like last year, a portion of the CPT 2017 DLC will go to the prize pool for Capcom Cup 2017, regardless if it’s purchased as a bundle or individually. This campaign was a great success last year thanks to your support, and we can’t thank you enough for helping make the Pro Tour and CPT Prize Pool better with each contribution.

Finally, below is the full pricing breakdown of the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour content:

Capcom Pro Tour Costumes

  • Additional Costume (“Capcom Pro Tour”): Ryu — $5.99 / € 5.99
  • Additional Costume (“Capcom Pro Tour”): Ken — $5.99 / € 5.99

Nostalgic Costumes and Suzaku Castle coming to Street Fighter V on July 25th

Turn the clock back with these nostalgic costumes and classic stage!

With 30 years of rich history to its name, the Street Fighter series conjures up many fond memories across a wide range of topics. Be it the iconic special moves or the unmistakeable theme tunes, Street Fighter is pop culture personified. To this end, we’re adding another classic stage and three more nostalgic costumes to Street Fighter V. Hit the jump to check them out!

Forget Guile’s jet, Ryu’s temple roof stage is where the truest of warriors fought for arcade supremacy back in 1991. Relive those classic moments (or forge new ones!) as this iconic Suzaku Castle stage makes the leap forward into Street Fighter V .

Seeing as the Street Fighter III series is set after Street Fighter V, it only makes sense that Alex would have longer hair in the future. He’s also found the time to buy new green trousers that are less ripped than his old pair.

Ibuki’s nostalgic costume is also from the Street Fighter III series – aka the future. It’s more rugged than her regular outfit, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with infinite shurikens. It was deemed that this historical inaccuracy be for the greater good.

Unlike Alex and Ibuki, Juri’s nostalgic costume is from the Street Fighter IV series – aka the past. This is how we first met the sadistic taekwondo expert back in 2010. We probably wouldn’t recommend that she wears this outfit while riding her motorbike.

You can pick up these new costumes on PlayStation 4 and Steam for $3.99/ €3.99 starting on July 25 th.

As always make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter pages for the latest Street Fighter V news.

E3 2017 Day 1

E3 2017 Day 2

E3 2017 Day 3

All times for these upcoming streams are listed in Pacific Time:

UPDATE: Postponing our Tuesday stream due to technical difficulties.

  • Wednesday , June 28th @ 1PM – Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf
  • Thursday , June 29th @ 3PM – Game TBD

As always, here’s your friendly reminder to “Follow” our Twitch Channel , so you get a nice little email reminder whenever we go live. It’s especially useful if you misplace your calendar, like I do sometimes…

Jeffery Simpson : The promise of mini golf lured Frank West to Willamette and into another zombie outbreak, so we only felt it fair to give him some! Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf for Dead Rising 4 is out now on Xbox One, Windows 10 and Steam PC. This is the craziest and goriest golf experience you’ve ever seen with zombies, limbs and explosions all packed into six unique courses. Slap on an Exo Suit, grab a three iron and head on over to our launch blog for all the details.

Patrick Kulikowski : Attention all Maverick Hunters! In case you were swept up in the whirlwind of E3 2017, I wanted to call to mind these fantastic art pieces of X and Zero , beautifully drawn with copic markers by Owlboy creator Simon S. “snakepixel” Andersen ! It’s always great to see X’s bike from Mega Man X2 getting its due; Overdrive Ostrich’s stage just wouldn’t have been the same without it.

Game composer/guitarist Alyssa Menes busted out a quick, albeit awesome, ditty of Toshihiko Horiyama’s “Mr. Reus ~ The Masked Magician” from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice on her acoustic guitar. We’re crossing our pointer fingers for a longer version of this arrangement someday!

And while we’re on the topic of good ol’ Capcom jams, the rockstars over at Capcom Live performed a rich set of iconic tunes at AnimeNEXT in Atlantic City, NJ on June 11, 2017. Watching this Monster Hunter performance footage from attendee Viperas has got me all pumped up and very jealous of my East Coast friends. This rocking arrangement included Tadayoshi Makino’s “Zinogre Theme” from Monster Hunter Portable 3 rd and Masato Kouda’s unforgettable “Proof of a Hero” Monster Hunter theme.

Additional fan footage can be found on YouTube, including music from Ace Attorney (additional clip here ) , Devil May Cry 4 , Okami and much, much more!

STICKY NOTE: Did you make something cool? Send us a note or drop a comment below; we would love to feature your work here! Same goes for any awesome stuff you may see in the wild; we always welcome more fantastic fan work. =)

It’s a very exciting time to be a Capcom fan and I can’t wait to be sharing more info on our upcoming games, like the recently revealed Monster Hunter: World, so keep your eyes on the main blog reel for all major Capcom announcements and news. Till next time!

More School Costumes heading to Street Fighter V June 27th

On June 27th, the School range of Street Fighter V costumes will be expanded to include R. Mika, Nash and Ibuki. These three students of the game will join Chun-Li, Ryu and Juri in the street fighting school of hard reads and learned blocks. Hit the jump to check out the new costumes!

Letting her hair hang low with thick specs, friendship bracelets and sensible shoes, R. Mika takes a leaf out of the traditional sailor-style school uniform that can be seen in Japan. Here’s hoping that Nadeshiko still recognizes her during recess.

Going for a white gakuran uniform that’s reminiscent of Kyosuke Kagami (shout-outs to Rival Schools!), Nash looks just as ready to hit the books as he does a crush counter. He also sports a hall-monitor sash that shouts, “skip class at your peril, punk.”

Rounding out this academic trio is Ibuki in her traditional fuka school uniform. These threads aren’t as rugged as her ninja dogi but we have it on good authority that the bomb capacity is just as generous. That red scarf also pays respectful homage to her fellow Capcom ninja, Strider Hiryu.

Stay ahead of the grading curve by picking these costumes up for $3.99 each at the end of the month.

If you're looking to checkout the previously introduced school costumes, check out our blog post !

Capcom Recap: 06/02/2017 - 06/08/2017

This week: we share our E3 streaming schedule, the Mega Man legacy continues, and see some more amazing cosplay!

Capcom’s E3 live streaming schedule revealed!

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 announced for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Coming August 8

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen now available through

Patrick Kulikowski : I know, I know – we all already understand that Yoko Shimomura’s “Guile’s Theme” from Street Fighter II goes with everything. But did you know that video game heavy metal band Powerglove goes well with “Guile’s Theme”? The American power metal band has cooked up a really cool rendition of the popular theme that makes me want to mosh just as much as it makes me want to aggressively comb my hair in triumph.

And while we’re on the topic of my personal go-to Street Fighter II character, I wanted to give a shoutout to cosplayer and artist Zee for their magnificent cosplay of Guile. If only I could pull off that kind of hair + American tank top leotard combo! It’s no “easy, operation”.

Stephanie Palermo : C’est magnifique is this inspired Ace Attorney Trés Bien cosplay? At Fanime 2017, cosplayers owen_miyabi and 2D Mirage , as Maya Fey and Jean Armstrong respectively, dined on what we hope were poison-free pastries in the name of this great photo opp.

Miss Maya also joined the gang at a classy establishment for another memorable photo. The development team actually had the pleasure of meeting some of these cosplayers in person back at Anime Expo 2016 and greatly appreciate the continued dedication to such fantastique Ace Attorney cosplay! Kudos to photographer marq4porsche for capturing these moments.

This week at Capcom, Dead Rising 4 tees up mini-golf, Street Fighter V gets new content and more Fight Money is coming your way!

A bit of housekeeping before we get to the updates for the week: you may notice we had to take a quick break from live streaming—I know, I miss it already too!—but don’t worry, we’ll be back in no time. In fact, the reason for said break is none other than E3 2017! As part of our annual tradition, we’ve shipped our streaming gear to Los Angeles, CA so we can stream from the E3 show floor every day of the event. More details coming up soon! =)

You will also see a 50,000 FM bonus if you log in before June 13 th ! For a full rundown of what is in the May update head over to this blog post.

Patrick Kulikowski: What’s good, Mega Man fans!? We’re always thrilled to share awesome fan art in our Capcom Recaps, and I came across a fantastic one that celebrates the final entry in the Mega Man Legacy Collection. Twitter user Noahpatchi did a remarkable job with this Mega Man 6 watercolor tribute. I love all the intricate details they invoked with Mega Man and the Robot Masters’ designs. Those colors give it a nice pop! The redesigned logo is pretty slick too, don’t you think?

We’re always scouring the internet for more of your fan art, so please do share it with us – you, too, have a chance to be featured in one of our weekly recaps!
